Through a systematic market-landing and validation mechanism, Taiwan's SME Administration (SMEA) helps startups achieve product-market fit before global expansion. Taelor AI, for example, leveraged U.S.-based mentors and market insights to accurately meet New York's demand for AI-driven personalized styling services. The company successfully transformed into a data-driven fashion technology platform and stood out among 2,700 global companies, winning Inc. magazine's Best in Business -Best Startup Award, demonstrating the global competitiveness of Taiwanese startups.
By promoting the strategy of "global expansion through startups integrated with Taiwan's supply chain," SMEA has established a scalable internationalization model, helping startups raise a total of USD 7.5 million since 2022. Beyond the U.S. market, Taiwanese startups have also achieved notable success in Europe and Japan, earning international awards and recognition. This approach demonstrates strong spillover effects-where innovative startups drive traditional industries forward-enabling Taiwan's established industries to successfully connect with global markets.
