SBIR program is dedicated to creating a friendly environment for R&D, its grant limits will be increased starting in 2026: Phase 1 will rise to NT$1.5 million, while Phase 2 and Phase 2+ will reach NT$12 million and NT$6 million, respectively. Additionally, a new budget type "Patent Application Fee" has been added to help businesses secure domestic and international patents early on, ensuring their R&D results become valuable core assets.
